Woman Threatens Boyfriend With Bow and Arrow Because He Doesn't Want to Get Married

You want to reconsider that marriage decision, mister?
  • You want to reconsider that marriage decision, mister?

A warning to all those young gentlemen in the audience. Your girlfriend might want to get married. If she does, she might not react well if you tell her you never want to get married again. It's a serious conversation with possibly serious repercussions: fights, breakups, harbored angers.

Oh, and violence. There's always the threat of violence. Of course, ladies, the threat of violence will probably do nothing to change your beau's mind.

Take this couple from Lorain for example.

The Morning Journal reports that cops were called around midnight on October 2 after 39-year-old Genevieve Fitzgerald allegedly grabbed a bow and arrow and pointed it at her boyfriend after he announced he wasn't the marrying kind. He wasn't going to put a ring on it, so she threatened to put an arrow in it. Not as catchy as Beyonce's version, but definitely more bloody. It's all sexy when Cupid shoots you with an arrow. Not so much when it's your wildly upset girlfriend.

Our favorite nugget:

The man said that during the argument, Fitzgerald said to him “if you try and call the police, I’ll shoot you before you can dial the ‘9,’” according to the report.

Police arrived and found that Fitzgerald had cut her hand at some point during the incident, and LifeCare arrived to treat her.

Fitzgerald was arrested and charged with domestic violence. The boyfriend, undoubtedly, is out searching for diamonds this very minute.
