Ted Williams, the man with the golden ability to sell a load of bullshit, has a new autobiography out this week. As the Columbus Dispatch points out in its review, the tome conveniently omits the post-viral-video phase of Williams' life, a span that was ripe with relapses and alcohol and lost jobs.
Anyway, coinciding with the release and the media rounds is a new service on the former homeless man with the golden voice's website: he'll record your voicemail message for $15.
He has some suggested scripts ready to go. For instance:
"Hi, this is Ted Williams, the Golden Voice. You’ve reached [Name] but they can't come to the phone right now. Please leave your name and number after the beep."
Creative. He's also taking requests, so if you need a personalized message, something with a little more pizazz, he can make that happen. Thinking something like.. "Hi, this is Ted Williams. No one uses voicemail anymore, so how perfect is this?"
