The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has announced its free Summer in the City concert series. And while it's not quite as awesome as last year's lineup —the Joy Formidable! Das Racist!— it's still pretty damn great.

Best of all, the headliners' supporting acts all hail from Cleveland, and they're some of our favorite bands here in town.

It all starts on July 11 with Cloud Nothings. Yeah, they're a Cleveland band, but they've busted out big since the January release of their new album. Herzog open.

On July 25 it's a stoner-rock twofer with Torche with Ohio Sky. You may want to bring your bong to this one.

On August 1 Brooklyn indie rockers Bear in Heaven share a co-headlining gig with Cleveland's Mr. Gnome.

(By the way, has someone at the Rock Hall noticed how much we love Mr. Gnome and Cloud Nothings? Our two favorite Cleveland bands playing free outdoor summer shows? Oh yeah!!!)

And on August 22, singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten performs with Bethesda.

All shows start at 7 p.m. on the museum's plaza. Food trucks will be there in case you get the munchies (you know what we're talking about, Torche and Ohio Sky fans).

Ticket info hasn't been announced yet, but we'll let you know when we hear something. —Michael Gallucci
