The shuttered Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield is surely a familiar site for both former convicts and fans of The Shawshank Redemption, widely hailed as one the greatest films of all time by both former convicts and film buffs.

Mansfield (about an hour and a half south of Cleveland) will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the film's release from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1.

The scenes of the festivities will include the reformatory (Shawshank State Prison in the movie), the bank and courtroom used in the film and the "Shawshank Oak Tree" at Malabar Farm State Park ("It's like something out of a Robert Frost poem").

Prison tours will run throughout the weekend, along with a film screening and several actor appearances.
