The subject of a recent biopic that starred Amanda Seyfried and Peter Sarsgaard, porn star Linda Lovelace is famous for having renounced pornography after the '70s film Deep Throat made her famous. Seka, another big star from the '70s who has just self-published her autobiography, Inside Seka: The Platinum Princess of Porn, had a much different experience and her book provides a rather positive chronicle of her exploits. She’ll sign copies of the book this weekend at the Cinema Wasteland Movie and Memorabilia Expo that takes place at the Holiday Inn in Strongsville.

You’ve made an appearance at Cinema Wasteland in the past. What was that experience like?
I was there two years ago. It’s a wonderful show. I will be there promoting my new book.

What was it like to write your book?
It was very cathartic. It took me about five and half years. I’m very pleased with the finished product. So far, it’s been number one on Barnes and Noble and Amazon before it was ever release because so many people were pre-ordering the books.

It’s a tell-all book. Will anyone be upset by one of your revelations?
I don’t think they will be. And if they are, too bad. They shouldn’t have run into me and had a good time.

You talk about how your look was more dramatic and glamorous. What made you embrace that look?
I really didn’t like the way most women were being portrayed in the industry. I thought they could look better and be presented better and be more glamorous and feminine. I thought I could do that and do it better and I think I did.

You speak highly of John Holmes. Talk about him a bit.
We were very good friends, strictly on the set. I never partied with anyone that I worked with. I did my job and went home. We had mutual respect for one another. He treated me with the utmost respect.

Who was your favorite female porn star that you worked with?
Veronica Hart. Her famous quote is that as long as she had a face, I had a place to sit. That is a quote directly from her. I enjoyed working with her very much. I adore her. She is a very lovely lady. I enjoyed working with Kay Parker and Juliet Anderson and Amber Lynn and Ginger Lynn. Ms. Hart was my all-time favorite. She’s a salty little tomato.

In the book, you talk about going to a swinger party but you were turned off by it.
I did it because the person I was living with at the time was highly sexually charged. It was a way for me to not have sex with him and he could have sex with other people. I would go to swinger parties and sit and chat and have an adult conversation with someone. He could be out screwing someone and we were both happy.

Was porn better in the ‘70s?
I think it was a lot different. I also think it was better. The movies had a beginning and a middle and an end and there was some kind of story there and there was a reason for having sex. Now, the movie opens and everyone is screwing. I would like a little foreplay. Turn me on first please.

Your experiences seem different from that of Linda Lovelace. Why is that?
My experience is different because I don’t lie. Well, a lot of what she said was a bunch of bullshit. She knew was she was doing. It was a way for her to fight back. You knew what you were doing when you entered into it. You’re not forced into. For God’s sake, get a grip. I wasn’t forced or coerced into it. I came from a good family even though my parents were divorced. I wasn’t raped or abused by anyone in my family. I had a very good experience and it was something I chose to do on my own accord. For all those other ones who think differently, poo-poo on you.

Who would play you if your book becomes a film?
Charlize Theron. She’s gorgeous.
