You Can (Maybe) See the Northern Lights Tonight

Finland boasts fantastic northern lights displays. Clevelands views, while maybe not so breathtaking, still promise to dazzle.

That which is normally the province of our far-north brethren may be showing up along the Lake Erie horizon tonight. That's right: The northern lights (aurora borealis) may be visible from Cleveland.

A solar flare that shot outward into space on Tuesday is arriving at Earth today. The aurora effect will be best viewed this evening.

Snow showers are possible tonight - and the skies will likely remain partly cloudy - which could hamper the sight-seeing. Nevertheless, spots like Edgewater Park, Lakewood Park or Lakefront State Park all seem like choice spots for the show. Tweet photos of the nighttime display @Cleveland_Scene if you'd to share your prizes with the community.
