And the Wrecking Ball Swings: Partial Demolition of Parmatown Mall Begins Today

Posted By on Wed, Jan 29, 2014 at 2:10 PM

The Shoppes at Parma (formerly Parmatown Mall) met the wrecking ball earlier this morning while crowds looked on as the partial demolition of their beloved shopping center began. The project, which involves tearing down the old Macy's store, is slated to take approximately 30 days.

Here's a video of this morning's happenings (first swing happens at the :30 mark, and first substantive breakthrough at the 1:26), courtesy of NewsNet5.

Renovations on the shopping center will begin shortly after the demolition teams have cleared out.
