Fifth-grader Joey Stefanko is A Christmas Story veteran, having already played little brother Randy and Flick (the kid who gets his tongue stuck to a flagpole) in previous Cleveland Play House productions. This year he returns in the starring role of Ralphie, the kid with a hankering for a Red Ryder BB Gun. Stefanko isn’t the only veteran onstage: Charles Kartali plays the Old Man for the fifth and — if artistic director Michael Bloom keeps his promise that this will be the play’s final year at the Play House — final time. A Christmas Story opens at 7:30 p.m. with performances through December 20 at the Cleveland Play House (8500 Euclid Ave., 216.795.7000). Tickets: $45-$49. — Michael Gill
