3/19: Cleveland Cabaret Project opens

Singer-choreographer Lora Workman and music director Charles Eversole return this weekend with a new run of their Cleveland Cabaret Project. They’ve lined up a cast of local musical-theater vets for the debut of two 50-minute shows: (This Could Be) The Heart of Something stars Workman and Paul Hoffman performing songs by Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, and Nicole McLaughlin (a Clevelander living in New York) performs Sole Mates, a collection of stories about shoes. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through March 27 at Kennedy’s Downunder (1501 Euclid Ave., 216.241.6000, playhousesquare.org). Tickets: $20. — Michael Gill
