We try really, really hard not to call him “Yawni.” We understand that the mellifluous new-age piano riffling of the shaggy-haired Greek adonis soothes the souls of many people and that ladies like his looks. To spice things up a little, he’s trying something new for his first tour in four years. Taking a cue from fellow piano-schmaltz popster Jim Brickman, Yanni enlisted a cadre of unknown but talented vocalists: Nathan Pacheco, Chloe, Ender Thomas and Leslie Mills. They’re all featured on his latest album, Yanni Voices, which hit No. 1 on the new age chart, and in his — you just knew there had to be one — recent PBS special (pledge now and they’ll show it another 10 times!). To be fair, Yanni’s shows keep the yawn factor down, thanks to a full orchestral backing, spectacular costumes, choreography, and extensive lighting, video and special effects. He plays the Wolstein Center (2000 Prospect Ave.) at 7:30 p.m. (Note venue change from Quicken Loans Arena). Tickets: $47.50-$95. — Anastasia Pantsios
