Your ticket to the second annual Hudson Wine Festival entitles you to 10 tastings of more than 250 wines from around the world. With so much to choose from, chances are you’ll spend just as much time trying to decide what to sip next as you do savoring the wines. To accompany the tastings, there’s food from Hudson’s many restaurants and music by local artists like Brent Kirby, Kristine Jackson and Chris Allen. You can even bring your leashed pet so he can help you choose a companion for him: The Humane Society of Greater Akron, the event’s beneficiary, will have adoptable pets onsite from 1-4 p.m. both days of the festival. It runs from 1-9 p.m. today and 1-5 p.m. tomorrow at Village Way in the First & Main shopping district of downtown Hudson. Tickets are $10 (for designated drivers) to $35; folks under 21 get in free with an adult. For the devoted oenophile, 10 additional tastings can be purchased for $5. There’s also a kickoff benefit from 6-10 p.m. Friday night at Vue (49 Village Way, Hudson, 330.650.1883). Tickets: $125. — Anastasia Pantsios
