7/8: Summertime Blues at CMA

96cc/1246999846-lavie.jpgScene art critic Douglas Max Utter will lead a tour through parts of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s east wing, focusing on the use of the color blue, as part of a blue-themed evening aimed at young professionals. Utter says he plans to begin with Picasso, whose famous “blue” period is represented at CMA by his famous “La Vie,” and proceed toward modernism. It’s at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cleveland Museum of Art (11150 East Blvd., 216.421.7350). The evening, which also includes music by KJ Blues and a cash sushi bar, is from 5:30-9 p.m. It’s free. — Michael Gill
