8/14: The Good, the Bad and the Arty at the Tree House

An avid Tribe fan, singer-songwriter Chris Allen hasn’t been able to get to many ballgames this year. Instead, he’s directed his energy toward a music and fashion show to coincide with tonight’s Tremont Art Walk. Dubbed The Good, the Bad and the Arty, it features performances by Allen, Don Dixon and his wife Marti Jones, Molly Allen and Marina Kolmanovich. In addition to performing, Jones will also show off some recent artwork. So will Molly Allen, a painter and photographer who’ll display some of the custom loft furniture she makes. Dixon will sign copies of his new book, Songs 101: The Lyrics of Don Dixon, and Kolmanovich will dress five local models in vintage clothes. “It’s basically just an art carnival,” says ringleader Chris Allen. It happens from 6-10 p.m. at the Tree House (820 College Ave., 216.696.2505). Admission is free. — Jeff Niesel
