8/17: Closure in Moscow at Peabody's

Packing five bands on one bill is sometimes too much to digest, especially when only two of the groups — Emery and Maylene & the Sons of Disaster — come even close to headliner status. But music fans who aren’t familiar with Australian fivesome Closure in Moscow should get to tonight’s show early to experience the band’s inventive prog-rock, which sounds like a mix of the Mars Volta, Coheed and Cambria, and Chiodos. Their proggy leanings particularly come alive onstage. Ivoryline and Kiros round out the bill. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at Peabody’s (2045 E. 21st St., 216.776.9999).
