Alternate Ideas for the Sopranos Finale

If the Scene staff had written Sunday’s Sopranos series finale, it’d surely have been a little more conventional. We like to think we’d have come up with using Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” -- it's skyrocketed to No. 30 on the iTunes singles download chart -- but aside from that, the final episode might have gone a little like this: It was all a dream... FURIO's dream, that is -- there's the twist! “What do you mean, Jackie Jr. really survived?" We finally see Dr. Melfi's secret lair (behind the book case)! Like Hyman Roth in Godfather II, Artie Bucco was behind the whole thing! Dead Milkmen's "Punk Rock Girl" is closing credits music. Richie Aprille returns as a totally badass zombie! Cameo by Jon Travolta: "This crew is like really weeeiiihhhrd!" That Eric Mangini appearance? No cameo! VERY significant! Tony & Carmella tag-team a stripper. Flashback: a young Tony at a Ramones show in NYC. There's a shot of Christopher joining Adrianna in a pillar of light. He closes his eyes, nods, and silently mouths "yes." Springsteen brokers a peace between jersy and NYC crews. Phil: "Bruce, you are da true boss." --D.X. Ferris
