Seattle indie rockers Minus the Bear’s stock has really soared over the past couple of years. Last month, they released Planet of Ice, their toughest record yet. Tonight, they play two shows at the Grog Shop. In the past, the band recorded songs with wordy, jokey titles like “Hey, Wanna Throw Up? Get Me Naked” and “Thanks for the Killer Game of Crisco Twister.” Planet of Ice keeps things simple in the name department: “Burying Luck,” “Knights,” etc. But the music -- a combination of hooky indie pop and prog-like side trips -- ranks among their most adventurous.
