At Touchs weekly
Satanic Sundays, DJs Throat Yogurt and Feima spin black metal, goth, industrial, and some very odd recordings that Im not so sure were ever meant to be played publicly, says organizer Eric Freeman. Its all about helping people get in touch with their dark sides, he says. Satan has nothing to do with hell, demons, eating babies, pitchforks, sadistic torture, demonic possession, or profound evil. Satanism is all about self-empowerment and using your inherent primal skills to achieve whatever goal you imagine. Its also about listening to some pretty gloomy tunes by Lamb of God and Ministry. Yet Freeman says he doesnt want to merely entertain clubgoers, so each night begins with a discussion about all things Beelzebub. Then its on to Satan-themed music and movies. I want to provide a night for those that enjoy a change of pace and appreciate an intelligent social venue, he says.
