Minor-league baseball with minor-league prices makes a comeback tonight, when the Lake County Captains square off against the Delmarva Shorebirds for
Buck Night. The deal on the table? The Tribe's Class-A affiliate is selling every hot dog, glass of beer, and can of pop for a crisp George Washington. "We knew this would be an exciting theme night in a year of unique themes," says Kevin Brodzinski, the team's general manager. "We figured that hot dogs for a dollar just make sense. We knew it would be a hit."To sweeten the game experience even more, the team's front office has shaved a dollar off the box-seat admission price, just in time for the No. 1 Captains' meeting with the No. 2 Shorebirds for the South Atlantic League North showdown. "Incorporating the dollar tag on more than just hot dogs puts a Captains stamp on it," says Brodzinski. "It increases the popularity of the night and our fans' enjoyment of it." Buck Night starts at 7:05 tonight at Classic Park, 35300 Vine Street in Eastlake. Tickets are $7 to $9. Call 440-975-8085 or visit
