Cuglewski takes the deal

Twenty-four-year old Nicole Cuglewski has worn a lot of hats in her young life. She's the former Miss Cuyahoga County, a half time announcer for the Cavs, and the face of Mr. Hero sandwiches. Now she's also the winner of $247,000 in NBC's Deal or No Deal. In last night's show, Cuglewski, dressed suburban chic in a silky belted button-down shirt and tight black pants, used her intuition as her guide. "I know $178,000 is a lot of money," Cuglewski told the host Howie Mandel, after the banker's latest offering, "but I have to follow my heart. I'm going with no deal." Then she ran and cowered with her family. Cuglewski's heart did her well. But her family didn't do her the same favor. Cuglewski looked like she wanted to go further, but her supporters urged her to stop. "A quarter million dollars, Nik, a quarter million, take it, you need to take it," they called. So she did. If she hadn't, her next offer would have been a half million. --Rebecca Meiser
