Beer Drinkers in Space Showgirls: Fully Exposed Edition
The Canton Museum of Art asked more than 50 local theater reps, radio personalities, and artists to pick their favorite item from its 1,200-piece permanent collection. The results are now on display in Love Your Work! It’s a good chance to see many of the museum’s best sculptures, paintings, and prints in one place. Participants were also asked to submit a paragraph explaining why they chose the artwork. Their writings adorn the wall next to their choices. The Repository’s Dan Kane muses on Andy Warhol’s “Flowers,” the Ohio Art Council’s Sheila Marley Black rhapsodizes Roberta Laidman’s “Rosey,” and artist Paul Buckhor gushes over Clyde Singer’s “On Lookers.”
Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sundays, 1-5 p.m. Starts: Dec. 27. Continues through Feb. 26
