Going for the Greens

Ohio U. may suck at football, but its alumni kill it on the golf course.

Today's Bobcat Big Stick Challenge fits the bill for duffers who want to get their money's worth on an awesome golf course. Courtesy of Ohio University's Greater Cleveland alumni chapter and following 18 holes on the links and a catered barbecue dinner, you could go home with autographed Browns gear, cornhole kits, and gift certificates for grilling equipment. And just for fun, the group will challenge golfers to see who can hit a teed-up marshmallow the farthest. "We feel like we're offering a lot for the buck: a local, forgiving four-star course, a good burger, mounds of chicken and ribs, and prizes you won't leave in your trunk," says Jason Nedley, the chapter's president. "It's also your chance to be a hero on the 10th tee." Start swinging at 10 this morning at Hilliard Lakes Golf Course, 31666 Hilliard Road in Westlake. Fee is $75.
