The Music of Hanukkah is about the festival of lights -- the lamps and candles that are traditions of the Jewish holiday. Violinists Stephen and Carolyn Warner perform tunes including "Ocho Kandelikas," for which audience members are chosen to join the musicians onstage. "We invite a bunch of kids up to take rhythm instruments and keep the syncopated beat," explains Joan Katz Napoli, the Cleveland Orchestra's education director. The Legend of the Nguzo Saba (Seven Symbols), a musical lesson about unity, self-determination, and purpose.
The Music of Hanukkah is at 10 a.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
