At this weekend's Cycle World International Motorcycle Show, the makers of BMWs and Harley-Davidsons all but let you ride one of the 600 models of hogs on display. "It's not a look-at-the-pretty-bikes show," says spokesman Dave Scott. "You can get on the bike, you can put your wife on the back, your girlfriend, or your kids. Make sure it fits." The 27th annual bikefest also takes a look back at historic and famed cycles, like the BUB No. 7 Streamliner that Denis Manning rode to break the 350-miles-per-hour land-speed world record last year in Utah's Bonneville Salt Flats. Dirt bikes, cruisers, and choppers round out the collection of wheels. "For a lot of people, it's about the first time you started dirt-biking, were introduced to them at a dealership, or you saw a bike at the curb," says Scott. "When I walk into these shows, it brings me back to the first time I saw a motorcycle and knew I wanted to ride it." The show runs from 4 to 9 p.m. today, 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow, and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the I-X Center, 6200 Riverside Drive. Admission is $13 ($6 for kids age 6 to 11).
