Idol Chatter

North Olmsted club searches for the next singing sensation.

Cleveland theater best theater of 2007
Northeast Ohio's answer to Jordin Sparks and Ruben Studdard has been lurking under the spotlight at Sly Fox Idol ever since the singing competition started in early November. And tonight's semifinals mark your last chance to get in on the action for next week's $1,000 grand prize.Hosted by Cruisin' bluesman Ron Howard, the 10-week contest mimics the hit TV talent show by pitting amateur singers against each other as they perform three songs apiece with a live band. Each week's winner pockets $100 and a spot in next week's finals for the top prize. But don't freak out; you won't have to face acid-tongued critiques from Simon, Paula, and Randy. Sly Fox Idol starts at 9 tonight at the Sly Fox, 4755 Great Northern Boulevard in North Olmsted. Admission is free. Call 440-777-0961.
