Imitation isn’t always the best form of flattery

Dan Savage, whose nationally syndicated sex column “Savage Love” appears in this rag every week, seems to have created a legion of imitators – no one more so than Claudia Lonow, the former sex writer for the New York Press. When she launched her column, Lonow decided to simply lift questions from Savage Love to use in her own work, “unaware that using questions from Savage's column was a breach of journalism ethics.” After one day on the job, she was forced to resign. – Rebecca Meiser
