Florida funnyman can't tell a joke without lying.

Daniel Tosh is the first to admit that his stand-up comedy routines contain not a grain of truth. His daily mantra: If you want to get ahead in life, start lying. "There's no reason to ever tell the truth," says Tosh, who's in town for a six-show stretch through Sunday. "I don't give a shit. My friend says, 'Can you pick me up from the airport?' I say, 'Yeah, I'd love to.' I don't show up. Is he not going to be my friend over that? Then he wasn't a friend to begin with." Tosh learned how to "make stuff up" as a marketing major at the University of Central Florida. Once he started fine-tuning jokes with solid punch lines, he figured he could make a decent living without holding down a 9-to-5 job. "My diploma looks wonderful in a box," says Tosh, who did a special for Comedy Central last summer. "I have a degree in marketing, which comes into play when I'm trying to sell my soul."
