Mike G's Weekend Picks: In case you're not watching the Tribe ...

Shake your bon-bon Saturday at La Salsa Dance Contest and Celebration
This weekend’s top arts and entertainment picks around town, from the guy who’s paid to pick them: Friday: Yes, we realize the Tribe plays tonight. But just in case you’re one of the seven people not watching the game, the Haunted Cleveland Ghost Tours kick off their new season tonight. The guided trips take guests to some of the city’s spookiest spots. It all starts at the William G. Mather steamship -- which caught fire, harbored deadly diseases, and hosted various other tragic events back in the day. Other stops include a Bratenahl home overseen by a dead butler and a mass grave that houses 250 passengers of a sunken boat. Spooky! Saturday: The Viva La Salsa Dance Contest and Celebration at the I-X Center features sexy dancers, live music by Noel Quintana’s Latin Crew, and a buffet table stocked with south-of-the-border fare like quesadillas, slow-roasted pork, and rice and beans. Muy caliente! Sunday: Twist fires up the grill for its last free cookout of the year at the Harvest Rhythms. DJs Stone N Leone, Zachariah, Random(seed), and Truck Stop Tourist Meets Mark Strauss spin everything from house to funk to techno. Oh yeah, there’s also a Tribe game on TV. -- Michael Gallucci
