Some people at the monthly Goddess Elite Psychic Fair ask about romance, careers, and health. But the one nagging question on nearly everybody's mind is about money. "They'll ask, ‘Am I going to have enough cash to pay the rent this month?'" says co-owner Pat Sievert. "It's not, ‘Give me the lottery numbers.' It's more like ‘What is my financial situation now? And what is it going to be like in six months?'"

Seivert and her husband, James, have run the fair on the first Sunday of each month since they bought the Personal Growth Holistic Center in Fairview Park a year ago. They invite as many as six psychics to read astrological charts, tarot cards, and symbolic rune stones for $20 a pop. One clairvoyant uses psychometry, holding participants' jewelry or eyeglasses to foresee their futures. "He uses that device to capture his reading," says Sievert. "He then incorporates intuitiveness about the angels around you for some kind of message that would come through for you."

An "aura photographer" is also on hand to take a digital image of the magnetic field surrounding your body. He then pops the picture into a computer program that generates a 5- to 15-page report on your energy field. "I'm from the old generation with the Polaroid photograph," says Sievert. "The psychic would give it to you and do an interpretation, and you'd go home and say, What did they tell me? Now you have a document. It's fabulous."
