Take a bow onstage and get a peek behind the curtains during this morning's inaugural Theater Tour of Playhouse Square's eight historic show palaces. As you walk through the State and its sister theaters, guides will narrate the stages' 86 years of history, from their opulent 1921 debuts to their massive restorations in the '80s and '90s. And pay close attention to the four murals on the walls of the State Theatre lobby: They're the last works by the late American modernist James Daugherty to remain where they were originally painted. The tours start at 10 a.m. at the State Theatre, 1501 Euclid Avenue. Admission is free. Call 216-771-4444 or visit www.playhousesquare.org.
