Best Radio Newscaster: Karen Kasler of WTAM

With her "just the facts, ma'am" delivery, afternoon news anchor Karen Kasler is the voice you hear every day during the Rush Limbaugh and Mike Trivisonno talk shows. Her newscasting is no-nonsense; her reporting skills are on-the-mark; her flair for writing news is impeccable. "Good descriptive language. Paints visual images for listeners," wrote Associated Press judges, when they named Kasler Ohio's "Best Broadcast Newswriter" in May. That's become old hat for her. Kasler's won the award three times in the past four years.
