Best Bowling-Ball Fitter: Phil Sillia at Custom Fit Pro Shop

Bowling has long been on the decline, but it's still possible to get a great custom-fitted bowling ball when you see Phil Sillia in his tiny shop at Buckeye Lanes. A top bowler himself (Sillia was on the pro tour for five years and held the city's high average during the 1970s, when huge scores really meant something), Phil takes the time to hand-carve the thumb hole so that it works ideally for each bowler -- be it a 220-average cranker or a 120-average dweeb in a toss & giggle league.
