Promotion: Absolute Intense Wrestling

Though Cleveland has unusually solid semipro federations, none does it as well as Absolute Intense Wrestling. Many of its alumni seem bound for the WWE -- Raymond Rowe recently made his freelance Smackdown! debut, having his butt handed to him by World's Strongest Man Mark Henry, and Mark "the Deviant" Hutter is toughing out a round of tryouts. The action is in your face at AIW's monthly shows at Peabody's Down Under, where there are no bad seats and the long, action-packed nights average 11 matches. The promotion showcases technically precise and high-impact action, and even manages to put together genuinely funny storylines.
