Live Bloggin' the Rock Hall Inductions: Backstage With Bobby Womack

Womack told the backstage press that he tried hard not to break down onstage, since it was a "spiritual moment" for him. He even brought along his 90-year-old mother to the ceremony.

Ron Wood called Womack his mentor and that they speak in guitars. Then he laughed that Ron Wood laugh and walked off, as members of the press wished Womack a happy birthday. —Michael Gallucci
