Next weekend, it’s presenting the Bruce Springsteen FanFest, expected to attract enthusiasts from around the country, as well as some of the Clevelanders who were among the Jersey-based, Cleveland-adopted artist’s first supporters. The event, running June 12-14, will be heavy on film footage, with rare films and videos screening in the 4th Floor Theatre all weekend. Among the things you can see: Springsteen’s 1998 induction into the Rock Hall as well as video of the artists he introduced for induction; Blood Brothers, the documentary about the E Street Band reunion; and presentations of rare footage by Tom Zimny, Springsteen’s personal archivist. In addition, on Saturday, there will be talks by Rock Hall curator Jim Henke, who put together the Springsteen exhibit, and a multimedia class on Springsteen’s 1984 album Born in the USA, led by Rock Hall education director Lauren Onkey. The event will also feature a food drive for the Cleveland Foodbank from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday on the plaza. Daily Rock Hall admission for adults is $22, but you can buy a two-day pass for $33 to take in more of the programs. — Anastasia Pantsios
