Olympics? Free Song? It's a Devo Kinda Day

Posted By on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 9:28 AM

Are we not free?
  • Are we not free?

Following Devo's performance at the Olympics later today, the Akron natives will be treating fans to a free download of a new song.

"Fresh" will be available on the band's website for 24 hours. So get it while you can.

In related news, Devo are also setting up some sorta study, which, in typical Devo fashion, is confusing as all hell.

From the press release:

DEVO would like your help right now, and here’s how: By going directly to http://www.clubdevo.com/colorstudy you can be part of a public study to help determine the outcome of necessary and important data ultimately to be utilized by DEVO concerning new directions in new dimensions. Or at least the shape of things to come. Please follow the link to be part of the study. Your participation will be rewarded.

Either way, the new song is yours to keep. So grab it later today (it's not up yet) and enjoy it before we're all hurled into "new dimensions." —Michael Gallucci (follow me on Twitter @mgallucci)
