What to Do Tonight: Country Joe McDonald

Posted By on Fri, Mar 26, 2010 at 7:33 AM

Hippie-era Berkeley native Country Joe McDonald is best remembered for his “I Feel Like I’m Fixin’ to Die Rag” and its infamous “fuck” cheer from the Woodstock movie. But McDonald has had a long career, with more than 30 albums as a solo artist and as leader of Country Joe and the Fish. McDonald has dabbled in country, blues and folk music over the years. He continues to tour regularly — sometimes alone, sometimes with a band. He plays the Winchester (12112 Madison Ave., 216.226.5681) at 8:30 tonight. Rob Peeples opens. Tickets: $15. — Ernest Barteldes
