If you're anything like us, you're probably still a little sore that Sleater-Kinney broke up way before their time.

One of the greatest bands of the late '90s/early '00s, the all-girl trio released one great album after another before going out in 2006. And they did it with a blast: Their last album, 2005's The Woods, was one of their best.

Corin Tucker, Sleater-Kinney's guitarist and main singer and songwriter, will release her first solo album in October.

Kill Rock Stars, the label that released four of Sleater-Kinney's albums (seriously, pick up Call the Doctor, or Dig Me Out, or All Hands on the Bad One), doesn't have info on the record yet.

But stay tuned. Because we're totally excited about this. —Michael Gallucci (follow me on Twitter @mgallucci)
