See you on August 31!

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have their Blossom Music Center concert, which was postponed yesterday.

The new date is August 31. Tickets for last night's show will be honored at the rescheduled date.

Says a spokesperson:

Heartbreakers’ guitarist Mike Campbell was admitted to the hospital as a precautionary
measure following his fainting at Sunday night’s sweltering hot show in Maryland
Heights, MO. He has remained in the hospital on doctor’s orders prompting the
postponement of tonight’s originally scheduled Blossom Music Center date. Campbell
is expected to be released from the hospital tomorrow to play Thursday night’s Tom
Petty & The Heartbreakers show in Auburn Hills, MI.

In happier news, the Drive-By Truckers — who were supposed to open last night's Petty concert — played a show at the Beachland Tavern last night. Did you go? Share your thoughts with us. Was it super loud? —Michael Gallucci
