The Broadview Heights Lions Club and the Legion of Terror are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Bloodview Haunted House, which scares you for a good cause. Bloodview is open September 23-24, September 30-October 1, October 7-9, October 13-16, October 20-23, and October 26-31. Hours are 8-10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays, and 8 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

Cleveland Metroparks' Boo at the Zoo is a safe, fun, good time for kids, featuring a Monster Mash Dance Party, a hay maze, magic and puppet shows, and other not-so-scary attractions. 5:30-8:30 p.m., October 20-23 and 27-30.

Fright World is the largest, scariest haunted screampark in the world, with eight hardcore haunted houses spread over one mile of extreme fear. Open Fridays-Sundays, September 30-October 30. The fright runs 7 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays, 7-10 p.m. Sundays. Visit for a special night of terror Thursday, October 13, 7-11 p.m.

The fun park has giggles for the little ones and big gasps for grown-ups in a special Halloween celebration. Every Friday night and all day Saturday and Sunday through October 30.

Think The Village, only creepier: Now bigger, longer, and scarier, the Haunted Forest of Carousel celebrates 24 years of fear. Try to survive a long trail though dark woods filled with horrifying scenes. Open Fridays-Sundays in September and Thursdays-Sundays in October. The Forest opens at dusk, closing at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays.

It's a two-for-one shocker, featuring two outside frights with terrifying, specially designed set pieces and special effects. 7:30 p.m.-midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and 7:30-10 p.m. Sundays.

Its mad scientists have created four floors of special effects, with lasers, wind tunnels, spinning black holes, and two supercharged Tesla coils that will make your hair stand on end. Visit the Haunted Schoolhouse too, for a combined seven floors of terror. Once an elementary school, Haunted Schoolhouse is now a university of terror. Its ghoulish students study in the witches' house, Dracula's castle, and Frankenstein's lab. For 33 years, the Hudson Haunted House has offered thrills and chills. Sponsored by the Hudson Jaycees, the House ratchets down the spooky 1-4 p.m. October 16 and 30, offering family-friendly, less-than-terrifying matinee events. Make a House call September 30-October 2, October 6-9, October 13 (9-10 p.m. only), and October 14-31. Hudson Haunted House is open 7:30-10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 7:30 p.m.- midnight Fridays and Saturdays.

The world's largest haunted event features seven scary houses in one location. Known as the most frightening event in Ohio, the Seven Floors will scare the hell out of you. Some houses keep your attention for 15 minutes -- the Seven Floors will keep you captive for hours. Visit starting at 7 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays through October 31. Open until midnight Fridays and Saturdays, 10 p.m. Thursdays and Sundays.
