Ice Skate at Wade Oval

Starting this month, one of the most cliched date pastimes returns to Cleveland. Ice skating outdoors, under the twinkle of fairy lights and snow drifts. Visit the Christmas Story House

Everyone who celebrates Christmas in Cleveland has to visit the Christmas Story House at some point in time. The museum was used as the exterior for shots in the film and is open 7 days a week for fans. For $10 admission, couples can find actual set props and a gift shop filled with literally everything a Christmas Story fan could want, from waffle makers to snuggies. Late fall is a great time to try to become more cultured, or it's a great time to impress a date by pretending you're more cultured. Either way, the Museum of Contemporary Art has several new exhibits like this one by Do Ho Suh. Ride One of the Trolleys

A nod and a smile will get you and your partner a free ride on RTA's free trolley around downtown. Ride it before dinner to get a look at all of the cities holiday lights and displays. Or, for a longer ride and an official tour, Lolly the Trolley has holiday tours of the Christmas Story House, holiday lights and history tours that are around $15 a person and range between one and three hours long. We all know by know Cleveland is home to the craft beer, all the craft beer. And plenty of local breweries have cooked up holiday drafts by the barrel-ful for beer-loving partners to sample. Watch a remastered classic at the Cinemateque

The Cleveland Institute of Art's Cinemateque is known for plenty. It shows dozens of foreign language and art films a season. However, during these colder months, the theater is remastering old films like the 1970s Wim Wenders road movies, which are being shown in 4K. Tickets are $9 each, or $7 for those 25 and under.
