16 Tips for Your Essential Cleveland Staycation

Staycations are a great way to rediscover your city while saving some money. Cross some activities off your bucket list and treat yourself to all that Cleveland has to offer. We know that you already know about many of Cleveland's popular destinations and hidden gems, but here are some of our ideas for what to do on your next staycation.

 Ride the RTA

Sometimes taking the RTA isn't convenient due to time contraints. But on a staycation with nowhere to be you can ride the RTA to several different neighborhoods like Ohio City, Shaker Square, and the Flats. Be sure to buy an all day pass which is only $5.50.

Spend a night at the Cleveland Hostel

Their Glasshouse is like stepping through a portal into "two other-worldly landscapes," Madagascar and Costa Rica. The 11 different gardens, including a Japanese garden, are also a nice way to spend an afternoon outside in the sun.

"The Kalberer Emergent Tower will take guests above the trees to a height of 120 feet where on a clear day you can see all the way to Lake Erie" and it's only $10.
