Great news, Clevelanders! Millennials can actually afford a house in some of the hippest neighborhoods in Cleveland according to a study by Bloomberg Business. For the uninitiated, millennials" are characterized as individuals between the ages of 18-34 who get blamed for everything wrong with our country.
Millennials are also getting priced out of many desirable property markets in the United States such as San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Boston and Washington D.C. due to rising residential real estate prices combined with stagnant wage growth. Bloomberg used data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Bankrate.com and Zillow.com to find affordable cities for Millennials and three of these are actually in Ohio: Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus.
Here are eight homes ready for purchase that fall within the some of Clevelands hippest neighborhoods and hover around the median home value in Cleveland, $122,625. Go forth, Millennials, and take advantage of actually reasonably priced real estate in Cleveland while you laugh at all of the east and west coast suckers.
