Re: “Get Outta Town: The 2018 Summer Road Trip Guide

Amtrak to CHI = no parking woes! Union Station reminds me of what rail travel was, and could be.

Re: “Summer Road Trip: 36 Hours in Ashtabula

Just for the record Hocking Hills now has 1000 cabins and 4.5 million annual visitors.

No love for Toronto on here? Same drive time as Chicago.

Re: “Summer Road Trip: 36 Hours in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgher here. This is a nice article, and so many of these recommendations are great. I'm a big fan of Cleveland as well (probably because I don't care about sports). That said--if you come to Pittsburgh for beer, aim more for the smaller breweries instead of Penn or Church Brew Works. (And, really, Cleveland's craft beer scene is miles ahead of ours, though I hope we catch up soon.)

Re: “Summer Road Trip: 36 Hours in Chicago

I think a visit to the Museum of Science and Industry should be included. It is not as crowded as the Shedd or the Art Institute and is fun for adults and kids. And I applaud you saying the CTA is the best way to get around, but rider beware: it is still public transportation. Be prepared for delays, missed trains and buses and the ever-popular unemployed individual sleeping/soliciting/playing music.

Re: “Summer Road Trip: 36 Hours in Chicago

Meh. Drive another hour and a half and go to NYC. Chicago is second rate at everything.
