Re: “How Not to Get Fucked Over By Student Loans

A couple of schools, I would have to agree but the vast majority are where kids who have no idea what they want to do with their lives go to try to figure it out and usually dont. Liberal in doctrine camps holds as much weight as saying working for Walmart is a conservative in doctrine camps. Most bachelor degrees have become what the high school diploma used to mean; with the exception of a few subject areas/programs, the end goal should be the cheapest possible, which both the student and parents completely miss. I agree, an associates degree in a specific area would bring something in the 50-75k per year but most students and their parents miss that point, they think working with their hands isnt worth much but in reality, it is worth a lot!

Re: “How Not to Get Fucked Over By Student Loans

Usually only takes 2 years. Make 50-75k a year doing something real.

Colleges have become liberal indoctrination camps anyways. Unless one pursues higher education with intent then these places are just are safe spaces for fairy tales of easy, high-paying dream jobs that do not exist.

Re: “Advice To Our Younger Selves

So much of this is true!

I would tell myself to keep doin yo thang and taking all those naps because you will miss them terribly one day. On the flip side, you won't remember all the great sleep you got... you'll remember all the times you were exhausted as hell but went out anyway and had the best time ever.

Re: “Let's Play the College Debt Game!

So, yes this is funny, but it's so well done it's really scary at the same time. I have to say, the game play for this is solid and thought out, nice work on the game.

All that being said, student loans suck. This game is scary because any of these things can happen to you, you're basically already playing this game in real life to a degree. Good luck, hope you get a good roll.

Re: “Advice To Our Younger Selves

So hmm, advice to my younger self, huh? Never buy textbooks, you figured this out by sophomore year, but save yourself about $1500 and don't buy them Freshman year either. The best memories you're going to have is when "nothing is going on" and you and your friends decided to go out and make your own fun. Yes, the all-you-can-eat-buffet is tasty, and free, but you're not a chipmunk storing body fat for winter, pace yourself and show some restraint because those pounds are going to stay on you for about 7 years afterwards.

Re: “Eating Well: Where to Get Your Chow on at Northeast Ohio's Colleges and Universities

Rascal House University Circle got noticed but not the flagship location at CSU! LOL! Too expensive anyway.
