Re: “A Man Who Dresses in Medieval Garb and Walks Around Downtown is a Strange Ranger. But is He Dangerous?

Wassamatta...too timid to sign up with a username? So the kids heard some four-letter words. BFD and boo fucking hoo. They probably hear worse at home and in the streets of wherever they live. Deal with it.

Obviously, the marchers had a permit to march into the square, or the city would have blocked the way with their bike cops.

And I will repeat what I said earlier...if that benighted Knight character tries to play vigilante or hee-row, especially when his friends in blue are not around, he will get a surprise he does not want or like, chain mail or no chain mail. Easy to rant and spew and play tough guy when your badge buddies can back you up. Wrong place, wrong time, wrong people, and he'll be toast. Simple facts.

And before you start pointing accusatory fingers yet again...I'm just playing Captain Obvious. This is Cleveland, not Mayberry or Lake Wobegon. It's smart not to be stupid or to act stupidly.

And no, I wasn't there...I was home mowing the lawn on Saturday. I'm getting pretty tired of marching in circles. Especially when anarchists and crazies behave the way they do--like they want to piss people off.

Julie Jules- Was that your group on Saturday who circled the Latino Festival in Public Square around 2pm?! The festival was mostly children displaying their artwork. For almost an hour the Refuse Fascism people marched around the festival shouting explatives into the festival with microphones, speakers, megaphone, and musical instruments. Your group was obviously trying to disrupt the festival. We saw the knight standing with our police officers, keeping you agitators from ruining the day.

Thank you Cleveland PD. Thank you Knight.

Thank you for circulating this piece.
My wife and I saw this man while traveling in the Middle East. First at Karak Castle where our tour guide joked that he was the ghost of a crusader. We then saw him again at Petra climbing on the temple.

Omg! We saw this guy in New Orleans in May. We thought he was a ghost in St. Louis No. 1 cemetery but then we saw him later in his armor in the quarter at strip clubs!

This man will see the Kingdom come. He shall take his place with those who fought against Islam: Charlemagne, Charles Martel, Godfrey of Jerusalem, Richard the Lionheart.

Carry on Crusader. Islam is not a race but a the wicked ideology of the murderer Muhammed of Mecca.

Re: “A Man Who Dresses in Medieval Garb and Walks Around Downtown is a Strange Ranger. But is He Dangerous?

I saw him again, yesterday, at Willard Park. He turned up to the Resist Fascism rally/march.
He's now wearing a metal bucket on his head as part of his costume.

He got in one guy's face. And, there was a woman in her religious outfit, and he started shouting anti-Islam comments at her. Pure racist. He's not out there to stop us from being mean and violent (we're actually peaceful protesters...not that many people like to believe so) -- he's the one causing trouble. Most of the time he is ignored, but he goes on with disrupting everything.

Yesterday, the police talked to him but let him continue on. He kept shouting that these are HIS streets, and he's cleaning up, and he will be king.

Re: “A Man Who Dresses in Medieval Garb and Walks Around Downtown is a Strange Ranger. But is He Dangerous?

A lot of HEMA instructors across the world have just read this in dispair. Over the last couple of decades we've worked hard to make it inclusive. Everyone is welcome no matter what their ethnicity, gender, sexual preferences, religion or ability. As long as they are prepared to respect their training partners.

The last thing we need is people with a terrible grasp of medieval history (historical research is a big part of HEMA) using it as an excuse to play out some sort of white supremacist Bruce Lee fantasy.

Please don't connect us with this idiot

I saw this guy running around at the March for Science in downtown Cleveland last April. I witnessed him grabbing an anti-trump sign from a woman, ripping it up and throwing it on the ground. Strange individual. Thanks for the article Scene. I had the same question, "Who is this guy?"

Buffalo? I'm guessing that's where his family lives, and where he is originally from. Why go there otherwise?

Nobody here seemed to miss his, presence either. Without him, the rally and march were boringly peaceful, with the usual speechifying and rhetoric, most of which had nothing to do with Trump.

He was seen at the impeachment rally in Buffalo. He was armored in an American flag tunic with his stars on it. Reports are that he was verbally demoralizing protesters; eating peaches, saying he would TAKE power after their impeachment process was successful.

Doing this shit makes me laugh even harder. Whatta fucking stupid way to die. And for what? Likes?

Saw JoSEPH "Lawless" Melendez at his "fake news" book signing in Lakewood. He's a suburban (N. Olmsted) con man and an a-hole.

His whole shtick is nothing but a scam--designed to get suckers to buy his books for $35 a pop. What bullshit. Don't be a chump!

Re: “A Man Who Dresses in Medieval Garb and Walks Around Downtown is a Strange Ranger. But is He Dangerous?

He wasn't at the Impeachment March. Unlike in other places, the turnout was not all that large.
Having it on a holiday weekend, in a family-oriented town like this one, guaranteed a small crowd,
In bigger cities ( NY- L.A. - Chicago) a lot more people have fewer family ties than they do here.

Maybe this dude was having a few burgers and brewskis with his relatives--which is what so many folks do here on holidays.

Re: “A Man Who Dresses in Medieval Garb and Walks Around Downtown is a Strange Ranger. But is He Dangerous?

Was he at the Impeachment March yesterday?
I didn't see him.

I saw him at the May Day March. He was a little crazy there. Saw him running around, and yelling stuff. Didn't see him attack anyone. I did happen to get him on video saying, "No one wants to fight me." -- I don't know if he was joking or not...
I saw somewhere that he was at the Pride In The CLE. I didn't see him there. Or at the Gay Pride parade/festival.

Maybe with all this news about him, he's staying quiet.

Re: “A Man Who Dresses in Medieval Garb and Walks Around Downtown is a Strange Ranger. But is He Dangerous?

Kindly point out where I stated I was going to do any shooting. Or that I even own a weapon that could shoot. Wake up, a-holes...and smell the kielbasa...this is Cleveland. It's a large and often-dangerous city. Not just for the shmuck in this story...for anyone.

All it takes is doing the wrong thing, at the wrong place, at the wrong time, to get oneself into very some deep shit...and very quickly... with a consequence such as a beating, or even losing one's life.

It can happen almost anywhere...on a train, on a street, cutting someone off on the road...don't you pontificating asshats even pay attention to the local and national news? Nasty world we live in now.

Sometimes, all it takes is sheer bad luck...such as that poor dude who died needlessly on Easter Sunday because some jamoke had a fight with his girlfriend and wanted to post a senseless murder on social media. And so...Cleveland once again made world headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Have you visited his final resting place? No? I didn't think so. Here's a head's up...it's in Lakeview Cemetery...near the gravesites of Alan Freed, Ray Chapman, and Harvey Pekar. That's enough GPS...now you're on your own.

Don't try to play shithouse lawyers with yourf groundless accusations, kids, and don't you dare put any words in my mouth.

Just saying...he picks the wrong adversary...not necessarily myself, mind you...and he could get seriously hurt or worse. Never once said I would be trying to shoot him if he shows up downtown at any near-future march...and don't even try to say that I did.

By the way...the guy is not harmless or unarmed. He has a martial arts background, and he has considerable expertise in edged weapons. Still...ever heard the old joke about bringing a knife to a gunfight? In these times, and in cities like this one, it's not all that funny anymore.

Let's see what happens if he shows up at the impeachment march today. I'm betting he won't. He might be crazy, but he's probably not stupid. At least, not as stupid as you guys seem to be.

Chuckles,
It sounds like you may be implying that a gunshot is proper punishment for knocking down a few signs, or at least that such retribution would be understandable. Are you willing to state your real name behind such a cowardly and inappropriate statement?

This guy is a damn hero. How do I contact him?

Also, someone report "Chuckles the Clown" for his credible threat of violence against an unarmed man.

Re: “A Man Who Dresses in Medieval Garb and Walks Around Downtown is a Strange Ranger. But is He Dangerous?

This guy is a colorful local that everyone knows. Some of you may recall Sir DoucheKnight has been here before and now he is back. He has every right to be a nutcase and he may or may not be dangerous, but now we know a lot more about him. So it's an appropriately newsworthy story. Every story does not have to be about the wonderful people doing great things around town, there is room in our media for stories about a few of the kooks too. So quit hating on the reporter. You are all grown ups, or mostly so, you can handle it.
