Karamu Performing Arts Theatre has produced his drama, The Family Line, and Ensemble Theatre put on his latest play, The Bloodless Jungle. From February 2002 through December 2010, Jones served as a member of the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners and was president of the board for three of those years. He also served in the Ohio House of Representatives and was the vice mayor and a councilman for Shaker Heights: He has received over 50 awards and honors for his governmental, civic and political work.
