The ‘Pinta’ and the ‘Nina’, replicas of Columbus’ Ships, will open in Lorain from Aug. 4-7. The ‘Nina’ was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. They are considered “the most historically correct Columbus replica ever built.” In 2005, the ‘Pinta’, was launched in Brazil and is the first ship to site land in the New World. We are hosting a 5K Trail Run and Trot for Treats kids hike at the Cleveland Metroparks West Creek Reservation in Parma on October 28, 2017. This event includes a trail run and a 1-mile hike for treats for the kids. The kids are encouraged to wear costumes and we will have food trucks, music, and awards following the hike. The purpose of the event is not only to raise money to support West Creek projects, but to create awareness of the organization and build relationships within the communities. $25 (through 10/13/17) $5 Tot for Treats (12 & under)
