Fools 50K and 25K

Sat., March 31, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Come fool around on the trails with us! The Fools 50K and 25K Trail Run is a favorite among the locals. The location has changed, the fantastic challenging race atmosphere remains the same! The 8 mile loop is 100% trails (you do have to cross a road or two) and is very runnable. It has some highly technical single-track trails and some challenging hills. There is a portion that twists and turns until you can’t see another runner and another portion that is wide-open trail. Any fool can see that this race has something for everyone. $60-$105

Flirt with Dirt 10K

Sat., April 21, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

The Flirt with Dirt takes place at the Oak Hill Trail System of the CVNP. Oak Hill is a favorite of trail runners due to the diversity of terrain. The 10k course starts off fast as you run down into the valley on rooted trails filled with twists and turns. Then, you get to switch gears and climb a long hill on an old drive before it flattens back out. $35-$45

Join us for our 3rd Annual Birds of Lake Erie Day. Families will enjoy a variety of programs and activities for all ages including hikes with Wildlife Rehabilitation Specialist Tim Jasinski, live animal programs featuring the wildlife of the region, an update on Cleveland’s Lights Out initiative and planetarium shows featuring our night sky. $8/person (ages 4 and up)

This race is a gem! It takes you on a tour of the extensive system of nature preserves in The Cleveland Metroparks, unofficially called the Emerald Necklace. We’ve reversed the course, and now it meanders north on the paved all-purpose trail starting from Oak Grove Picnic Area in Brecksville Reservation, through Mill Stream Run, and ending at Scenic Park Picnic Area in Rocky River Reservation. There are plenty of places to meet your crew at the 5 aid stations along the route of this exciting point to point 50K. $60-$95

The 17th Annual Habitat 5K Walk/Run/Mosey is a great way for individuals, families, organizations, and businesses to support Cleveland Habitat by running, walking, moseying a 5k course at Edgewater Park. Raffles, contests, family-friendly activities and more surprises! There is also a 1-mile fun walk for kids. Dogs are welcome. Burning River Endurance Runs and Relay

The Burning River Endurance Run & Relay is an exciting 100 and 50 mile solo run and 100 mile relay held in Northeast Ohio. The race travels through several of the region’s most scenic areas, including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, the Cleveland Metroparks and the Summit Metro Parks. Starting at Squire’s Castle in Willoughby Hills, the 100 mile run and relay follow the scenic Cuyahoga River Valley Corridor through the Cleveland Metroparks, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Summit Metroparks before finishing in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. The 50 mile distance option begins at Squire’s Castle and finishes at Boston Mills. $60-$315
