Climb aboard the train on our most popular excursion! The National Park Scenic excursion is the best way to see the length of Cuyahoga Valley National Park from a unique vantage point. Sit back as the train weaves through Cuyahoga Valley and races along with the rushing Cuyahoga River. Passengers will see a variety of wildlife including an eagles nest, deer and other habitats. Beavers and otters can also be spotted at the beaver marsh, which was once surrounded by old cars and worn-out parts until efforts by humans and beavers transformed the site back into a beautiful wetland. On view for the first time in North America, the recently restored Valois Tapestries, a unique set of 16th-century hangings, are unveiled in this exhibition. These fascinating and enigmatic tapestries were commissioned by Catherine de’ Medici, the indomitable queen mother of France, to celebrate the royal Valois dynasty against a backdrop of great political strife and social upheaval. The Rainbow Fish will enchant even the youngest child with his silver scales and heart of gold in a new adaptation of Marcus Pfister’s award-winning books about the beautiful fish who learned to share his most prized possession. Mermaid’s striking puppetry production includes two delightful companion stories: Rainbow Fish Discovers the Deep Sea and Opposites. The 11:00am performance on Saturday, January 26, 2019 will have a sign language interpreter. Guests who need the assistance of the interpreter should request seats on the right side of the auditorium. $10 - $15
