All-City Shakespeare Festival

An organization that hosts a number of local arts education programs, ESU Cleveland aims to “celebrate English as a shared language to foster global understanding and good will by providing educational and cultural opportunities for students, educators, its members and the community.” It also provides workshops that focus on teaching through performance.  At 6 tonight at the Acacia Reservation in Lyndhurst, it hosts its annual All-City Shakespeare gala. The event includes a production of Romeo and Juliet as part of a benefit that celebrates a series of 2017-2018 programs. Proceeds from the event will support the February 2019 Shakespeare Monologue Competition that'll be presented in cooperation with the Education Department of Great Lakes Theater. Story Club is an open mic for true stories and was voted "best bar event" by Thrillist Cleveland. We're thrilled to start this second installment of our Cleveland show at Forest City Brewery! We also three open mic slots so you can share your true story! Open mic sign up starts at 7PM and open micers are given 8 minutes (1300 words) in which to tell their true tales. If more than 3 people sign up we'll draw names for the slots. Entrance is free, and the evening's suggested $10 donation supports local charities. $10
