Story Club West Side

Second Wednesday of every month, 7-9:30 p.m.

Story Club is an open mic for true stories and was voted "best bar event" by Thrillist Cleveland. We're thrilled to start this second installment of our Cleveland show at Forest City Brewery! We also three open mic slots so you can share your true story! Open mic sign up starts at 7PM and open micers are given 8 minutes (1300 words) in which to tell their true tales. If more than 3 people sign up we'll draw names for the slots. Entrance is free, and the evening's suggested $10 donation supports local charities. $10

Love Art House is having a pop-up shop & fundraiser @A Walk in the Park Café on Saturday December 15th, from 10 am - 2 pm. Our fundraiser is for Unlimited Imagination Foundation, an organization supporting the arts in Akron. Gifts are under $10, with prices starting at $1. We will have lots of jewelry & art gifts, & other holiday themed items. And because it is better to give than to receive, we will also have free holiday goodies & gifts for the first 25 people that visit our shop, no purchase needed! Hope to see you there! Free

Belles & Chimes Holidaze Hi-Lo Pinball Tournament

Belles & Chimes CLE, Cleveland’s women’s pinball league, is hosting a pinball tournament on Sunday, December 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Superelectric (6500 Detroit Ave., Cleveland) to benefit the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless. The tournament pairs higher ranked players with lower ranked players for team battles. All skill levels, including beginners, are welcome. Those not ranked will team up with a high ranking player. All female identifying individuals are welcome. There is a $10 entry fee per player plus token drop on each game. All proceeds are donated to the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless. $10

Tom Nowak Big Creek Run

The Middleburg Heights Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Middleburg Heights Department of Recreation, will host the 28th Annual Tom Nowak Big Creek Run. The 5k Run and the 1 Mile (Run or Walk) is on the Big Creek Parkway. Starting line will be at the Middleburg Heights Recreation Center, 16000 Bagley Road, and the finish line will be on the City Hall complex. The first 300 participants will receive "Goodie Bags" and T-Shirts. There will be music provided by TKO Entertainment, light refreshments and an award ceremony at the finish line gazebo.
