CASA of Cuyahoga County, a program of Child and Family Advocates of Cuyahoga County​, ​recruits, screens, trains, and supports volunteers who act as independent fact-finders for the court in cases involving child abuse and neglect. Volunteers will only be assigned to 1-2 cases at a time and spend approximately 10 hours a month on a case. Free

During the month of August, Remington College will provide free back-to-school haircuts for students 17 and under done by students in the cosmetology program. In Cleveland, call The Salon at Remington at 216-584-2490 to make an appointment. Any adult who brings in a donation of school supplies can get a free haircut, manicure or pedicure. Through 30 years of dedicated community service to the theatre and the arts, the award co-recipients have contributed greatly to success in the Chagrin Valley area. CASA volunteers are everyday citizens who are trained & appointed by the court to advocate for the safety and well-being of children. The CASA volunteer is responsible for investigation, facilitation, advocacy, & monitoring of the assigned child's case of abuse, neglect, and/or dependency to represent the child's best interests.
